How we use this data: Information collected automatically is used only to identify potential cases of abuse and establish statistical information regarding the usage and performance of the Services. This statistical information is not otherwise aggregated in such a way that would identify any particular user.
2. Collection of personal information
You can access and use the Services without revealing any information by which someone could identify you as a specific, identifiable individual. However, to use features like account creation, trip tracking, and business analytics, you will be asked to provide certain personal information.

3. Mobile application data processing
When using the Truck Profit mobile application, you may have the option to scan documents, images, or other content that can contain personal or business information. By choosing to scan documents through the app, you acknowledge:
- Scanned documents and images are processed on-device using Apple's on-device AI to extract data
- Original scanned documents and images are not stored—only the extracted data is saved
- Extracted data (merchant, amount, date, category) is stored locally on your device for your records and business analytics
- All data remains in your control and can be deleted at any time from your device
- AI and automation processes are automated, no person reviews your documents, and AI is used only to provide the features you request
Purpose and Legal Basis:
The purpose of collecting and processing scanned documents is to provide you with OCR-based text extraction, expense categorization, and related features. The legal basis is your consent and the performance of our service to you. You retain the right to disable scanning or delete data at any time.

Extracted data is stored securely on your device. It is retained only as long as you keep it or as necessary to provide the requested service. You may request deletion at any time through your app settings or by contacting us.

Truck Profit does not include advertising or behavioral tracking for marketing purposes. We use Google Analytics to understand how the app and website are used (e.g., feature adoption, traffic patterns, performance metrics). Google Analytics is configured to collect anonymous, aggregated usage data and does not identify individual users. We do not use third-party behavioral profiling or sell your data to advertisers.
7. Disclosure of information
We do not share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes.
Service providers: We may share information with trusted service providers who process data on our behalf under data processing agreements, including:
- Hosting providers

8. Retention of information
We retain your personal and business information for as long as your account is active and for as long as necessary to provide the Services and comply with legal obligations (e.g., tax retention periods). If you request account deletion, we will delete or anonymize your data within a reasonable timeframe unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. Once the retention period expires, your information shall be deleted or permanently anonymized.

12. Cookies
Our web services use "cookies" to help personalize your experience. A cookie is a text file placed on your device by a web page server. We use essential cookies for authentication and preferences. With your consent where required, we may use optional analytics cookies to understand usage patterns and improve the product. You can modify your browser settings to decline cookies, though this may affect functionality.
13. Data analytics
We use limited analytics to understand how the app and website are used (e.g., feature adoption, crash rates, performance). We do not sell, rent, or disclose your personal information to third parties for any commercial purpose. Your data is used solely to provide and improve the Services. We are committed to your privacy as a core principle of our business.
16. Do Not Track signals
Some browsers incorporate a Do Not Track feature. Our Services are not currently set up to interpret or respond to these signals; however, as described throughout this Policy, we limit collection and use of your information regardless. We do not engage in behavioral tracking or targeted advertising.
17. Email marketing
We may send you transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset, support responses) and, with your consent, newsletters or product updates. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and enabling device-level protections (PIN, Face ID, biometrics).
20. Data breach
If we discover that the security of the Services has been compromised or your personal information has been disclosed to unauthorized third parties due to external activity (hacking, fraud, etc.), we will investigate promptly and notify you if a reasonable risk of harm exists, as required by law. We will post a notice on our website and/or send emails to affected users.
21. Changes and amendments
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. If changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice (in-app notification, email, or website banner). The "Effective date" at the top of this Policy indicates the latest version. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy.
22. Acceptance of this policy
By accessing and using Truck Profit, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any term of this Policy, you are not authorized to use the Services. We built Truck Profit with privacy as a core principle. Your information stays yours — private, secure, and under your control.
